Why are Grandparents special? My Granny is one of the most important people in my life. She is 97 and is truly amazing. Unfortunately, she was rushed to hospital before Christmas with pneumonia and whilst she bounced back from this (and loved all the attention from the student doctors who came to visit her as most of them hadn't seen someone so old!) it did make me reflect on how much she means to me and what I have learnt from her over the years. AMSTERDAM WITH KIDS I went on holiday to Amsterdam last week with my family. I was slightly nervous that there were certain parts of Amsterdam that I didn't want my children to see or more importantly didn't want those awkward questions from them that might come after seeing certain things. However, I didn't have to worry there was just so much to do with kids that we saw an amazing, family friendly city. I would definitely recommend buying the I AMSTERDAM CARD. You pay for it upfront and it gets you into most of the museums, the public transport and a canal cruise.
